from a haruki murakami book. dont remember which.

it was about the japan-russian war.

a man gets to choose between jumping into a well or getting a bullet in his heart

he chooses to jump

he sees the sun going over the well and he gets enlightened

and gets saved too

the other day i understood the grossssmart phrase
